A period of mediation is 25 to 30 minutes long. Between these meditation blocks there is walking meditation (Kinhin), Osho-Dynamic-Meditation (movement), Sanzen (the personal conversation with the teacher), Chi-kung (standing meditation) and Breaks and Mutual Mind / Heartfull-Talking . An important part of meditation is the sanzen “individual visit”. The encounter between master and student is called sanzen. However, the master Jion speaks of is the consciousness within us and the disciple is our ego. Sanzen is about sharing consciousness: We want to recognize what keeps us from our inner master, such as self-doubt and transform it in our common master, consciousness. This is done by the teacher giving koans to the student. Koans are Zen statements of an awakened mind that help expand the mind and prepare it for awakening. They store the awareness more deeply in our consciousness. Koans work emotionally, rationally, psychologically and spiritually. Koans can help resolve trauma and teach you to think creatively and spontaneously. Zen teaching is not aimed at a particular experience, it allows us to recognize the simple, everyday experience as special. The Zen that Jion teaches is alive and constantly developing because, as a teacher, he is allowed to learn from his students. Another part of his workshops is exercise. For this Jion works with Butoh, a dance without a fixed form. It is a tool that shows our inner blockages and by playing with the emotions we gain self-knowledge and ease. Butoh helps us to make peace with ourselves by getting to know and love the dark aspects of our human existence. We face our fears and resistance. Group work has its own dynamic and for some people it is the most effective form of working on oneself and transforming oneself.

🇩🇪
